I was trying to protect you from liability. I had no idea that you would go this far to protect him. Where did you send me? Did you enlist Zatanna to bring me here? Or perhaps Raven? Either way, I demand that you end this foolishness and bring me back right now. This is too much, even for you.

[Damian crosses his arms and his eyes narrow.]

I saw him highlighted in Dicks files, but nothing about him being the Joker… I guess that means that you are from sometimes slightly after me.

You seem to keep expecting expect to gain everything without earning it. Or that you can earn it with your mere presence. But as much as I hate to break it, that's not how the real world works.

Really. Even if you did, do you actually understand why we do things the way we do them? Have you tried that? Because looking at your stunt with the Joker, I don't see that much of a difference to what you did to the Spook.

The Joker's different. He can't be saved, Drake. He's a monster, clear and simple. I wasn't going after Catwoman, Two-Face, or even that new Black Mask running around. This is the Joker we're talking about here. He will break out of Arkham again, and he will kill again. Like I said to Todd, if you cut out his tongue he'll just find out another way to communicate. You have to take out his brain to take out the threat. He'll still be alive. Your precious rules will still be in place. Someone will just have to mop up his drool at the end of the day, and he can never hurt anyone ever again.
